In IMDB, this 4 episode TV mini-series is described as "One of the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history where hundreds of innocent sub-postmasters and postmistresses were wrongly accused of theft, fraud and false accounting due to a defective IT system".

There is much, much more however. Usually, when I see the tag line "this is a true story", I feel a knot in my stomach. Real life has many frustrating situations and when time comes to relax by watching a film, well, frustration is not my first option! However, this one came highly recommended and I gave it a try. It is one of the best series I had ever seen from several aspects. One may only admire:

The struggle of an individual that did not give up despite the odds against him
What a collective struggle can do against a powerful state and a multinational company
How each and every individual may make a difference

It is also interesting to check after watching it what is going on after the series was filmed. Do not miss it (currently streaming in Cinobo)!
