Norwegian Wood - Haruki Murakami

I sought out a famous and well-loved Japanese literary work that is highly regarded by people around the world. Out of the several options this was my first to read.

Norwegian Wood (Norwegian Forest according to the original Japanese tittle - Νορβηγικό Δάσος) is a book that totally fulfilled my expectations.

Haruki Murakami speaks of western literature, greek ancient theatre, classic and contemporary music, the beauty of nature and the complexity of human entities: their thoughts, ideas, emotions and imperfections. A fulfilling read looking at death not as the opposite of life, but as part of life (as he writes and shows in his book). The story flows seamlessly making difficult for the reader to put the book on the side! Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.
