The fifth seal (1976)

Zoltán Fábri made one of these films that keeps coming in your mind once you've seen it. In its 116 minutes, it makes you wonder about the nature of the human soul. Initially five characters in a minimalistic environment having a discussion that takes a philosophical turn. Appearances about the nature of the characters are deceiving. In another disturbing discussion two Nazis argue about the way power should be enforced over the masses. What strategy the oppressor must have to be successful? Almost fifty years later this film is still contemporary. This is a film you should not miss!
