Upper Bound AI Conference

Artificial Intelligence is a love that goes back several decades. I worked hundreds of hours with PROLOG back in the 80's, but never on the commercial side. In 2017, Coursera's Machine Learning course of Andrew Ng was a mind opener. Then several MOOC courses followed, mostly with a focus on AI.
When working together with a fellow colleague on the same topic, there is a higher level of engagement than when working alone. This may seem obvious for those that have this opportunity, but is not so easy to find what is really needed.
Let me clarify why. AI is a vast space expanding rapidly. Specialization is of paramount importance to get better results of what currently exists. So, in the globe you may find hives of expertise for specific AI topics. The topic one is interested in, may not even be in his own country (US might be an exception), let alone city.
So, AI Conferences like the International Joint Conference on Artificial Intelligence, the European Conference on Artificial Intelligence, the AAAI Conference on Artificial Intelligence, the International Conference on Machine Learning and the Conference on Neural Information Processing Systems are important to get in touch with peers, get connected, exchange ideas, establish a potential collaboration. They seem very specific however and they mostly focus on the academic side of AI. On the other hand the Upper Bound AI Conference merges Academia and Business on several different AI topics. So, if you are a newbie, like me, it looked like the place to go!
