Pictures At an Exhibition
On 05/06/2026, my soulmate, Foteini Kantzavelou participated in an sculpture exhibition organized by the municipality of Agia Paraskevi, Athens, Greece. Following the workshop classes by Stelios Sarros, she presented her first artifacts along with other students of her class.
Although I am not a fan of exhibitions, I wanted to attend that one. It was a pleasant surprise to find out that there were displayed some very beautiful pieces, from different students with ranging years of experience.
The scenery brought in my mind the "Pictures at an Exhibition" orchestral piece by Modest Mussorgsky, a piece I love a lot, inspired by an exhibition of a friend's works. Many times, when I hear music, images are presented in my brain. If we could have a set of art works (paintings, sculptures) and the resulting musical pieces from composers inspired from them, we might run a machine learning model to produce music from a new painting! That way, I could dedicate to my soulmate a musical piece generated from her work! "What kind of attrocity" you may be thinking ... Relax, it is not going to happen anyway, since we do not have such data!
So, below, you may find pictures from that exhibition.
